The King Before It All | Colossians 1:15–23
What if Jesus is not just part of your life, but the One before all things, above all things, and holding all things together?
In this second sermon from our Colossians series, The Supreme King, Pastor Greg Byrd walks through Colossians 1:15–23 and shows us the unmatched supremacy of Jesus. Paul writes to a church tempted to add something extra to Christ, reminding them and us that Jesus is not one option among many. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, the head of the church, and the One through whom God is reconciling all things.
The good news is this: the King who reigns over creation is the same Savior who makes peace by the blood of His cross. Jesus is before all things, He holds all things together, and in Him we are reconciled, restored, and made holy before God.
Whether you are exploring faith, returning to church, or trying to hold your life together, this message invites you to look to the One who has been holding you all along. Because Jesus is supreme over creation and new creation, He is sufficient for every detail of your life.
